Someone Trying To Strong-Arm You? How To Use Force Protection Services To Strong-Arm Them Back

Blog

Nobody likes having their business "squeezed" or threatened just because they are beginning to succeed or because the competition is scared. If you find that you are being strong-armed (threatened or pushed to do something you do not want to do), you do not have to take this hostile behavior, nor do you have to pay off the thugs threatening you. Here is how you can use force protection services to push back against these behaviors and actions.

Bouncers and Bodyguards

Many of the guards in these protection programs are trained in different martial arts and/or personal defense. They can act as your bodyguards when you are in your building/store or on your property. They can also act as bouncers when thugs attempt to destroy your business with baseball bats or make demands. You may still have quite a mess to clean up after your hired muscle gets these characters to move on, but at least you may be visited by them less often when your force protection agents are on duty.

Terrorist Threats and Bomb Sweeps

While you may not be the ideal target for a terrorist threat, that does not mean your business may not be the target of a bomb threat. Either way, your hired protectors can perform a full sweep of your premises on any given day and check for bombs and other possible explosive devices. If anything out of the ordinary is discovered, your security detail can call in the local bomb squad to handle the situation. If there is nothing amiss after the bomb sweep, then you know that you were just the target of a nasty prank, but it is still good to have an anti-terrorist/anti-bomb team there for you.

Protection on Land or in the Water

Maritime security becomes an issue for you when someone threatens to destroy the boats on which your products, equipment and supplies are being shipped. The protection team assigned to your shipments can ride along in the boats, or just patrol the docks the night before things are shipped out. They can also patrol the docks after a shipment has arrived and the boat is waiting to be unloaded. When you are really concerned about your shipments, your force protection teams can guard and monitor the shipments on the docks and escort the shipments until they reach their destination. No one can break in, destroy or steal anything if it is all under twenty-four hour supervision.

Creating A More Secure Business

I have always been one of those people who loves to get involved with business, but a few years ago, I realized that my company had a few security problems. We were losing a lot of money to shoplifting, and it seemed like every time I turned around another employee decided to steal from us. I started thinking about ways to make things better, and so I started focusing on creating a more secure business. This blog is all about working with security teams, making positive changes to your business, and avoiding the kinds of debilitating losses that can come from theft.
